Last night was great. I finally got to meet Gary Vaynerchuk at Vroman’s in Pasadena. @monkeysplat got me into @garyvee back in May of 2007 while at Event Design in NYC. From that point on, I’ve been a huge fan of not only what he’s done in the wine world, but really his consistent passion and hustle. It would have been really easy for Gary to throw in the towel back in the Fall of 2007 and settle for less but instead he kept the energy and level of commitment alive and continues to press on and build his personal brand. Gary’s thoughts on business, media and storytelling are nothing new but it’s his consistency that people admire. He’s not some flash in the pan hack that’ll be gone in six months. He’s the real deal and I hope you all get a chance to experience @garyvee at some point in your life.
