Below is a picture of my mom explaining WHY they didn't do the "normal" Christmas presents this year for the grandkids. It's because they gave their money instead to an orphanage in Russia. My mom & dad visited the orphanage in October and it really impacted them. Most of the kids seemed to understand.

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas everyone! Whether this time of year is a difficult time for you or your favorite time of the year, I really hope you all have an amazing Christmas and New Years. Let someone know you're thinking of them.

Below's a picture from the Banff Springs Hotel. Such a beautiful place and I was just there three days ago!

It finally happened yesterday. For a year, I've been dreaming of the day that Shelene Bryan, founder of Skip1.org, and our friend Mark Horvath, founder of InvisiblePeople.tv, would connect on some level other than just saying hello. It came in the form of a SkipDay, where more than 100 people came together to help pack gLOVE Bags for our homeless friends living in the Greater Los Angeles area. These bags won't end homelessness by any means, but they will help those who would normally drive right by a homeless person to stop & think about this person, possibly get to know them and ask how they could help. The idea behind the gLOVE Bag is to get people to think differently about homelessness.

The event took place at EPIC Ventura and was kicked off by Shelene who then introduced Mark. Mark talked and showed images and videos via a PowerPoint presentation that moved the audience and helped set the tone. Then, everyone in the room started packing the bags. Within 15 minutes, more than 300 bags were packed! Record time for a SkipDay but the energy couldn't be tamed or slowed down.

I'll try and post a video of the event as soon as I can (I'll embed it here and you can always check out the website at Skip1.org/1212). If you're still wanting to give to Skip1.org or the 12/12 SkipDay, just DONATE and mark the donation as "12/12" -- we'll make sure it goes to our homeless friends. Thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered, showed up, donated and watched the webcast. See you at the next SkipDay!

Today we filmed at Public Storage for the 4th straight year in a row. Ron Havner, Public Storage's CEO, did a bit with our Public Storage car. Thanks to Amy Maier and her team for making this car look amazing!

Yes, I told her what to write (she's 5). But the writing is all her.

Some behind the scenes from the "Office Break" spec spot Kevin Willson directed for CrashTheSuperBowl.com. When you go to the site, search "office break" and VOTE FOR US!! Sadly, searching the site will be quicker than posting a link. Yeah, it's that bad.

I love meetings like this one (pictured). Last night, a few of us met here at the office to discuss an upcoming event. It was a creative/planning meeting which meant we discussed ideas and logistics. Which means we all had to use both sides of our brains. The left brainers wanted closure on pertinent issues such as budgets, schedules, timelines & milestones. While the right brainers wanted to talk about abstract themes, the tone, textures and feelings. It was fun, productive and lasted about two hours. I love the conference room here at Radar and at night it's even better. There's a lot of people who shoot down the idea of meetings and file them under "waste of time" but in our business they're critical and always productive. If I'm in a meeting that's not productive, I leave. Immediately. Those who know me know that I don't like wasting people's time. So all meetings have a clearly articulated agenda and objectives. Nothing fancy, just a general understanding among those present that we have a purpose and a ticking clock.
